Faculty in residence consult with instructors across campus on everything from effective use of Canvas to effective teaching practices in face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses. Their role is to help you reach your instructional goals. Each of the group members brings broad expertise in using technology in the classroom, accessible technology, online teaching pedagogy and practice, and bending Canvas to your will.
What does Educational Technology do?
Educational Technology at Highline enables equitable and inclusive learning through inspired use of learning technology via four goals:
- Assist faculty with curriculum design and instructional materials development
- Produce video and other multimedia in support of the instructional process
- Build a community of practice around the use of technology in teaching
- Support faculty development of online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced courses
