Odds and Ends
Roles
Want to add someone to your course but not sure which role to select?
Use Designer if you want to share an active course with a colleague who needs to see course content, but does not need to see feedback or student interactions.
Use Observer if you want to someone to see the content, but not the grades, not interact with students, and not edit the content.
Use Reviewer to share your course with a working committee /department coordinator ... who needs to have access to both content and interactions with students. This role can not edit material.
Use Embedded Tutor if you have an official embedded tutor.
Use TA if you have a TA student who you want to be able to see and interact with content, but not score anything.
Use Teacher if you are adding someone who wants to import or export material from your course. Adding someone as a teacher gives them full powers to edit, interact with students, and see gradebooks and feedback. Do not add students as teachers in any course. Ever.
